About

Hi, my Name is Max Guderian. I was born in Hamburg in 1990 and grew up in Hamburg and Ireland near Dublin. I studied product design, communication design and aesthetics at University of Arts and Design Karlsruhe  (HfG Karlsruhe) from 2013 to 2020. As a co-founder I ran the Karlsruhe-based design studio STABIL  from 2016 to 2019.

My work / practice is located at the cutting point of product design and arts. I have serious fun pushing the standards of aesthetics, always trying to keep a critical mindset and a sense of reality. My design is always about a concept, a statement either to take a stand or to question issues such as social, political or environmental. I like to overthink objects and products from scratch to question other peoples solutions, staying able to innovate.

I collaborate with different designers, labels, collectives and friends and I’m always interested in new cooperations. In 2019 I moved back to Hamburg where I opened my new Studio in Altona.
